In the lead up to the ISTEK Schools 3rd International ELT Conference, we’ll be introducing some of the presenters on the blog. Next up is Nawal Benmostefa…

Could you tell us a bit about yourself?

Miss. Nawal Benmostefa is currently lecturer at the English Language Department, University of Tlemcen, Algeria. She holds a Magister in Applied Linguistics and TEFL. Her main fields of research cover linguistic and Sociolinguistic aspects of ELT in Arab/ Islamic settings, testing and assessment, learning technologies and English Studies. At present, she is preparing her PhD in Applied Linguistics and TEFL.

610031Tell us a bit about your session.

My session discusses how teachers plan, develop and assess lessons that engage students and teach academic content while integrating technology. So, how can teachers use technology to develop their ways of teaching, and how can they evaluate and assess their students. Our aim is to develop the way of teaching based on new approaches while using technology.

What should your audience expect to learn?

I expect that my audience learn how to use technology to develop our ways of teaching based on new approaches to make our students autonomous learners and to give them the opportunity to appreciate the teaching learning experiences.

Technology, (Lesson) development, Students
